Annual Membership Meeting 6/29/2022

A Healthy Lake Begins with You

Kingston Lake (Great Pond) Association is pleased to present the NH Lakes LakeSmart Program with Krystal Costa Balanoff on Wednesday June 29, 2022 at the Kingston Community Library.  A social time will be between 7 and 7:30 with Krystal’s presentation  and time for questions until 8:30.

Kingston has 5 waterbodies and sits on a giant aquifer.  What you do on your property effects water quality even if you don’t live on one of our lakes.

NH Lakes recently launched the LakeSmart program- a statewide education, evaluation and recognition program designed to make lake-friendly living the norm in NH.  This presentation will help property owners learn how to keep our lakes clean and healthy. Krystal will share simple landscape practices that have a big impact on lake health and water quality.

Recently, a letter went out from our road agent, Rich St. Hilaire, about water quality in Kingston. Kingston is required to maintain an MS4 permit because all water bodies in Kingston were found to have some level of unacceptable substances.  The NH Lakes LakeSmart program will help homeowners learn what they can do to make a difference.

Please join us for this important topic.  Our lakes, aquifer, even your wells depend on it.

KLA presentation begins with a social time from 7-7:30, the presentation with Krystal will begin at 7:30.  There will be time for your questions.  “Rain drops and snow melt all drain somewhere.”  KLA is a non-profit organization that serves Kingston Lake and the greater watershed area.  For more information contact Muriel Ingalls at dmingalls@comcast.net and visit our website at kingstonlakesnh.org.
